Exploring Engineering and Computer Science, 2011

Here we go. This is the biggest-scale link dump to date. It’s all done for an event that took place back in February, during E-Week. Some of these you may have heard about. They’re pretty much all local and interesting.

Edit: It looks like Internet Explorer is having some trouble with this post. You can fix this problem by downloading either Chrome, Firefox or Opera; Internet Explorer is regarded by most web developers to be something that should only be used when you need to download a Microsoft update.

Science uses observation, measurement, modeling and experimenting to extend our knowledge of the real;

Engineering uses science, tools and materials and takes risks to make stuff that makes lives easier, faster, more productive;

Computer science uses mathematical thinking, science and engineering to organize, transform and display information and embed intelligence inside most modern inventions;

All use ingenuity, creativity, and problem-solving and each other

to make the world a better place..
